North Shore Project

“… to create an audiovisual exhibition of original music and photography, showcasing the wild natural beauty and soundscapes of Lake Superior’s north shore …”

That’s the idea, and it’s what I’m doing throughout July and August this year. I’ll be travelling across the north shore of Lake Superior, writing and recording my third album with accompanying photography.

It’s a little more complicated than that, of course, and for some details, including the inspiration and why I dreamed of doing this project, feel free to visit this post. If you’re interested in following the behind-the-scenes development this summer, I’ll also be posting to the blog regularly, hopefully weekly, internet connection permitting.

I want to acknowledge the Ontario Arts Council for its financial support of this project. I would also like to thank Definitely Superior Art Gallery for collaborating with me to present the final product. Finally I would like to acknowledge Ontario Parks and Parks Canada for their cooperation during the recording/filming components.
